Comment: I have the fastpitch pitching clinic with Ernie Parker. Trying to teach my daughter to pitch, she is doing great, but today, coaches from other team called her out on crow-hopping. I would like any advice on how to correct this without interfering with the technique she has learned from the video. The pitching clinic does not go into this and I do not know how to help her without messing up what she has already learned.

Comment: My daughter a 15 year old right handed pitcher (fastpitch). She pitches with a stiff front leg to get resistance for her windmill and release, to aid in increasing the ball velocity. Currently she has been experiencing pain in her left knee (front leg). She’s been to two orthopedic doctors one last year and one this year. Both doctors checked her range of motion in her legs and did not find anything wrong. They did find that her left knee cap is not tracking correctly. She has been and is currently doing exercises to strengthen her leg muscles to correct this. Does anybody know of someone who has had the same problem as my daughter? What I am interested in is does anybody know of a pitching form that does not use a stiff front leg at foot plant? If you could reply with any info on how you corrected this problem it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, MCat
